Citation visibility

How often, and for which questions, a brand is named as a source by systems that answer rather than link. It is measurable, it is not correlated with rank, and it is the metric AEO and GEO are actually aimed at.

Why it matters

The consequence, not the concept

It is the number that replaces rank when the interface stops ranking. Because it does not move with position, a reporting stack built only on rank cannot show it rising or falling at all.
