AEO · S — Search intelligence

When a system answers instead of linking, the answer is either yours or somebody else’s.

Ten points on the scale, and the newest way to become invisible without losing a single ranking. Answer engines do not rank pages. They assemble a response and cite what they can verify.

01

What actually breaks

6 defects · observed, not hypothetical

The unit of retrieval has changed. It used to be a document, ranked; it is now a statement, attributed. A page can hold position three and contribute nothing to the answer above it, because it never states, in one sentence, the thing the question was about.

This is not a trick to be played on a model. It is the ordinary discipline of being clear, sourced, dated and unambiguous — applied to a reader that cannot infer what you meant.

DefectWhat it looks likeWhat it costs
No extractable answerThe page explains at length and never states the fact. There is nothing for a system to lift, so it lifts somebody else.
Facts that cannot be attributedClaims with no source, no date and no author.A system that has to defend its answer chooses a source that can be quoted.
Entity ambiguityThe brand shares a name with a larger or older one.Questions about you are answered about them.
Structured data contradicting the pageSchema asserts what the page does not show. The clearest signal available to you, aimed the wrong way.
No definition layerThe terms your market searches are used everywhere and defined nowhere. You cannot be cited for the concept you built the business on.
Content written to a word countLength used as a substitute for having something to say.Nothing quotable, at scale, in every language you publish in.

Moves 35 of 100 points. The muted categories are not this service’s job, and saying so is the point: a proposal that claims to move all eight is describing a retainer, not a diagnosis.

What you get

Same format as every Atlas document
An answer-first content architectureEvery page opening with the statement it exists to make, before the argument for it.Deliverable
An entity definition setWhat the brand is, in terms that can be corroborated, used identically everywhere.Deliverable
Structured data matched to visible contentNothing asserted in schema that a reader cannot also see.Deliverable
A citation baselineWhat the answer engines say about you today, recorded, so the change is measurable.Deliverable

Delivered as a document, not a dashboard login: dark cover, verdict columns, evidence IDs, a provenance line stating where every number came from. Shipped in two-week loops — the smallest change that moves the number, then the next one.

What exists, and what does not

No fabricated clients, statistics, testimonials or rankings appear on this site. Where a figure is not evidenced it is not printed, and the absence is stated instead.
